The former Elementary School which has been restored with donations of people from Doriza is today’s Cultural Center where all cultural activities originate. It is built of stone and located right behind the church of St. John the Baptist (Agios Ioannis o Prodromos). Right at the entrance of the Cultural Center stands the historic tree “pournari” which in 1824 as set on fire by the Ibrahim but still stands alive being part of Doriza’s history. The Center started its activities in the summer of 2003 with the folkloric exhibition named “All that is left”, organized and funded by a group of Doriza’s citizens.

The village’s church committee of St. Ioannis sees to the restoration and preservation of the monuments of the area like the village’s isolated chapels of St. Panteleimon, St. Nicolas and St. Kiriaki.In 2003 the chapel of St. Panteleimon who is the patron saint of Doriza and is honored and celebrated on the 27th July, was restored to its original form.

The first environmental and cultural activity began in 1930. Established in 1935, the “Association of the Natives of Doriza” aims to the embellishment of the village and the restoration and function of the basics like the water supply, transportation, preservation of forest and combat against criminality.
