At the beginning of 1980 the “Youth Association of Doriza” undertakes the intiative of upgrading the village while the “Association of the Natives Doriza residing in Attica” continues its activities trying to operate the Cultural Center and the Library but not finding the response which would provide the area with essential cultural boost. During the decade of 90’s everything is languid and Doriza, like other villages of the area, is oppressed during the summer months by transient fiesta happening of doubtful quality.
