Having searched the archives of Ellis Island we found 54 people from Doriza having entered the USA between 1890 and 1921. They departed from the ports of Kalamata, Patras and Piraeus but also from the ports of Lower Italy, from Sicily and France. The voyage to the USA was exhausting and interminable. Upon arriving at diseases are not accepted in America and are returned to Greece. The healthy ones enter New York. The voyage towards the American Dream is beginning to materialize.
