It is small exhibit of a small village. It has objects of every day use from the past and difficult years when used to be the main source that supported life, when the loom was an important part of the household- the pillar that supported it- and the art of weaving, obscure but functional and completely embodied in the needs of every-day life showed, the feminine esthetic quest through figures, forms, shapes and colors of the immense rural land.
The objects of the exhibit are family heirlooms donated by the people. The exhibit area is being decorated with dried crops and plants and flowers from the soil of Arcadia so that the objects are exhibited in their natural environment. Among them, the visitor can see ploughs, “pinacotes” (wooden partitioned containers used to carry the bread to the oven), packsaddles, a loom assembled by two of the oldest women in the village, old ironworks, embroidery and woven articles. They will remain at the Cultural Center From 1-17 August and afterwards they will be returned to their owners.
